Salmon printed wraps, small tear at top right corner, some pencil notations and other light wear. 16 pp., uncolored folding map showing the progress of the construction of the line. The map, which shows the northern United States from Ohio west, is entitled “Map of the Union Pacific Railroad and its Connections.” It has small uncolored flags, keyed at the bottom, indicating the progress of operation on the railroad west from Omaha in 1867. The projected route indicated runs through Salt Lake City, though there is a dashed line running north of Great Salt Lake which roughly runs where the line was ultimately built. The map also identifies the Union Pacific running from Omaha to the California-Nevada line, with Central Pacific tracks only in California. OCLC 4016601.
