Second American edition (not noted as such), following a first edition of 1848, which is the copyright date here. This edition was Corrected and Enlarged by William Darling, M. D. The first edition attributes the corrections only to “An American Physician.” This work was derived from a work with a similar title, Memoranda on Difficult Subjects in Anatomy, Surgery and Physiology, by Bower and Robert Druitt, published in London in 1846.Published by Samuel S. & William Wood.
