39×16.5 cm. Original 1/2 leather with marbled board, worn, text block split. 242 pp., with 48 entries per page. While the name and location of this account book are not clear from the text, there is a receipt laid in from the 1860’s which gives the name of the provider. Other notations among the entries provided a guide to the location. While many of the names of the receiver of services (visits, drugs or other medical-related charges) correspond with family names found on a map of the Town of New Milford from 1853 by L. Fagan, it is likely that Dr.Lyman was actually from New Preston, not New Milford.
